Mage

So I was randomly drawing and I drew this person. This didn't come out half bad methinks. Except for that crappy looking thing in his hand. I still have little or no knowledge on how to illuminate things. I did another version of this using lighting effects so the thing in his hand looks nicer, but that screwed up the background. Thus, I'll put that version in "Scraps" for those who want to see how the lighting effect looks.

The only reason why I even drew something like that in his hand was because the light sources seemed ambiguous. The background almost implies that it's sunrise and that's the main light source, but then the shading on the body and fabric tells otherwise and says it's in the foreground, so I just made an excuse and drew that in his hand. Oh, hum bug. I have to plan my drawings better.
