Alucard

I was at Angie's house last night and randomly started drawing/doodling. Her Hellsing manga was next to me, so I flipped through the pages and found this image of Alucard. I honestly couldn't decide whether this piece belonged into traditional or digital since All I really did was touch up on the hair on the computer. (Didn't feel like wasting Angie's pencil lead shading.) But oh well. This one was one of three I drew last night. All of them are her favorite characters... I'll put up the next two later when I touch-up on them too.

As for this particular fanart... I didn't put much detail if at all into this one. (No highlights in the hair, etc.) The reason for this decision ultimately came down to two things: 1) It would somewhat take away his character. 2) The manga artist left his hair a solid color for a reason, so it's better to leave it as it is. (Okay. I lied. There's a third reason: This is a shounen manga, and as far as I'm concerned, most shounen manga don't bother themselves with "beautifying" characters like shoujo manga do. So Alucard with highlights in his hair would make it seem weird... which goes back to reason #1.)
